Horrifying Family Traditions

She comes from a long line of aristocrats and for thousands of years her family has had a tradition of preserving the face of the current head of the family after death. Eventually enough faces pilled up to fashion them into a cape and to wear it on important occasions as a reminder of the family's' long history. She knows that one day she will join the rest of them.
